Peters Brothers, Inc. was founded in 1950 by George R. Peters in the small town of Lenhartsville.
He started with only one truck and slowly worked into a small fleet. The company began hauling livestock out of the Midwest to Pennsylvania from 1950-1996. Over the years the company expanded and diversified, in 1975 the current owner Gerald R. Peters took over the business from his father George. It was during this time when the company started their refrigerated hauling division. Peters branched out into hauling various products requiring refrigerated services, delicate mushrooms, frozen fruit, and a variety of dairy products.
In the early 1980’s we took a big step and added some coast to coast runs to our operation. Peters Brothers fleet has grown to more than 50 late model tractors and 53-foot trailers all equipped with air ride and space saver refrigerated units. In October of 2009 we expanded and acquired a terminal in Jefferson, WI to help service the Midwest region.
Our years in the industry have created a legacy of service that few other companies can match. Our reputation and commitment to our customers is second to none. Call us today to see what we can do for you.
