Tonight was a non points race that wasn’t previously on the schedule. They added several divisions to the previous schedule show due to the previous rain outs. As we are calling it, it was a prelude to the World of Outlaws who will be in action Friday and Saturday night.
We started off with a quick practice that proved the car to be very tight.
Due to this being a non points night we took a swing at some things to build our playbook. Unfortunately we didn’t get much information from the heat race. Jaxxston started P2 and ended up pulling off due to a steering issue and recording a DNF. After inspecting the kart we found the lower left caster block bolt had fallen out. Quick fix and we were ready for the feature.
Jaxxston started P1 and got a good jump on the field. He was tested early for the top spot and ended up settling for a P2 finish. Some of our big swings worked but the major one, gearing, held us back some. It was a good test and now we know.
We will be back in action next Thursdays!
