DRP Week Seven

We closed out July with another solid top 10. In practice the car needed some work to get it where we wanted it. Jake laid down a solid lap in the scuff session that landed him P1.

Jake set out to back up the scuff session time and did just that. He qualified P6 of 22 cars putting him in the fast dash for the second time this season.

Jake started the dash on the pole. From qualifying trim to race trim the car changed a lot, and for the worse. Jake fell to a P4 finish in the dash.

For the feature, Jake started P4. Still battling a tight car and old tires, we fell a few positions to P9. In the closing 15 laps there was a tight battle for 5-8 in front of Jake. As he closed in the battle continued until the last lap. Jake was able to gain one position in the final turn coming to the checkered and finish P8.

A solid night and bringing the car home in one piece is another step in the right direction with this new car. Stay tuned for our schedule update this week.
