Has a new tradition started? It seems so as Jaxxston and team traveled to the famous Millbridge Speedway Tuesday night to knock off the winter rust during spring break.
With thirty nine competitors registered in the Box Stock class it was the largest class of the night and the competition was stout. With the limited track time format on Tuesday nights, no practice straight into qualifying Jaxxston had little time to adapt to a new kart and getting back behind the wheel. He qualified P36 on the night.
This left Jaxxston starting P9 in his heat race. He needed to pick up 6 position to transfer into the A-Main. Unfortunately the offseason jitters showed through and he remained and finished P9.
That performance sent him to one of the two B-Mains starting P12. After a talk with dad he understood the assignment was to move forward as all cost in the next race. Jaxxston had a great start and picked off a couple karts right away. You could see a new confidence in his driving as he picked off another kart. The field got strung out and the race went green to checkered quickly. While Jaxxston was reeling in P8 he ran out of time and settled for P9 on the night.
Overall Jaxxston had an improvement from start to finish all night. You can tell it was a long off season without doing indoor racing but we are glad to be gearing up for the 2025 Bandolero season!
