Get out the broom, it’s a clean sweep kind of night!
Night one at Beaver Dam Kartway was a beautiful night to kick off the season after the previous three nights rained out.
What an excellent job the new promoter and his crew did on night one. Gates opened before expected and the whole program was on time and ran well.
We unloaded with good speed right away and you could tell Jaxxston was happy to be back behind the wheel.
Heat one lined up by draw numbers from sign in which put Jaxxston starting P2. He took the green on the outside, drove it in deep to turn one and never looked back. Finished P1.
Heat 2 he was slated to start P3 however a mechanical issue with another kart moved him to P2. Again with a great start he jumped to the early lead. A few laps in on the front stretch a mechanical issue of our own brought out the yellow. Track officials took the time to put Jaxxston’s chain back on so he could continue. Restarted P3 and was patient and moved his way back to P1 by the finish. For the feature we changed the sprocket guard to a larger one so we would not have the sand issue.
Jaxxston was again supposed to start P3 however a different kart had another mechanical issue moving him up to P2. He took the early lead and held on to finish P1 and sweep the night!
